The Sweetest Age

We took a trip down to San Diego just before I had to go back to work and I just had to share a couple pictures of Brookey.  Looking at them quiets me into the thought of how much I love this age of children.  They play so hard, they say the funniest things, they push every button a mommy and daddy have, they repeat EVERYTHING!  But my favorite thing about toddlers is they love in the most unconditional way.

Thank you God for toddlers.

Breaking News: The Birth of our sweet Charlotte

June 27, 2011 Baby Charlotte was born. 6 lbs 7 oz. She came in about 5 hours and it was a wonderful time.

Here is a brief recap of the amazing experience...

Ben took this picture just before the contractions started to get bad...he thought he'd dress it up to make it little more....playful

Sorry people..no pushing pictures. I'd like you all to think I remain elegant and graceful even through the worst.

Christian and Brooke didn't visit us until the next day.  Christian and Charlotte have a special bond.  Ever since he laid eyes on her he has given her most of his attention.

And Brookey....she LOVES the baby.  She thinks she's her toy to play with.

Can you tell Brookey's been here???

Brookey's Birthday

We wanted to get Brookey something special for her birthday this year and Ben found the cutest little house while out shopping one day.  So like the good daddy he is, he brought it home for her.  It took about a week to put it together, put it on a platform (to keep it from flooding during the rainy season) and install carpet.  After about 7 days of Daddy, Grandpa and Christian all fighting with construction of it, it came toghether beautifully.   Now we can't seem to get Brookey out of it.

I probably pulled about 5 babies out of that pool over the course of the summer.  She throws them in there and then says "baby's swimming mommy."  I finally got her an all plastic baby.

On the Day of her birthday we were able to take cupcakes to Miss Peggy's house.  She was so excited to share her sweets with her friends.

Brookey's Birthday party was a blast.  We had it at the butterfly park so on top of the swings and water to play in, the kids had a bouncy house. It was so windy and crazy I didnt get many pictures.  But I think this picture says it all.  It was taken shortly after we got home from the park that day.  She fell asleep at 6 and didn't wake until the next morning.

Room Swap

In preparation for our baby Charlotte to come into the world we needed to switch some rooms around.  Brooke and Charlotte will be sharing Christians room and Christian will be in Brookey's room.  As you can imagine this was a rather large project but after 3 long days of cleaning, painting and moving they came out great.

They turned out great and being 7 months pregnant I was glad to have them finished.
